Beware of some low bids!
In many cases there are uninsured contractors who will give you an unreasonably low bid in order to get hired. To some homeowners this may appear attractive; enabling them to achieve the desired results at a ridiculously low price (If it sounds too good to be true it usually is). Many times this becomes a nightmare for the homeowner. Numerous items are usually left out of the original bid, the man power quickly diminishes, but most importantly the quality of workmanship is compromised in order to complete the project. The contractors will continually try to increase the price by submitting change orders the owner assumed was part of the original bid. The end result: No one is happy with the project.
